About RNLi
Bringing crews safely home
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is a UK-based charity dedicated to saving lives at sea. Founded in 1824, the RNLI operates a fleet of lifeboats and provides 24/7 emergency rescue services around the coasts of the UK and Ireland. It is entirely funded by donations, with volunteers forming the backbone of its operations. The RNLI also offers beach safety advice, education, and lifeguard services to help prevent accidents at sea. Through its efforts, the organization has saved tens of thousands of lives over nearly two centuries.

What they do
-
Lifeboat Service - their volunteer lifeboat crews are ready to launch 24/7. With 238 lifeboat stations around the coasts of the UK and Ireland, the RNLI has created a ring of safety to help protect and save those in peril at sea.
-
Lifeguard Service - Every summer, RNLI lifeguards patrol 239 beaches around the UK and the Channel Islands, keeping many people safe. They share vital safety advice, give first aid to those who need it and are ready to rescue anyone who gets into trouble in the water.

Support their cause today
As a charity, they rely on the kindness and generosity of people like you to power their lifesaving. And right now, they need your support more than ever.

They believe that even one life lost at sea is too many. Their brave volunteers don't launch into cold, rough seas to save just a few. They're on a mission to save everyone.

When their crews are racing from rescue to rescue, they rely even more on their lifesaving kit and world-class training – the things that kind people like you help provide. Donate to their appeal and help the lifesavers get there in time.
